In den letzten Tagen habe ich schon wieder einige Sachen machen können. Letzen Samstag war ich teil eines Fussballspiels zwischen den Jungs aus dem Dorf und den Jungs aus dem Inland. Da sich Pastor Valter auf der hinreise ins Inland sich bei einem kleinen Umfall verletzt hat, musste ihn Simon schnell zum Arzt fahren und somit war alles auf meinen Schultern. Ich musste das ganze Spiel (mein erstes Spiel) selber leiten. Es verlief nicht schlecht. Das Spiel ging gut nur konnte ich keine Andacht machen, da es erstens alles neu war für mich und somit niemand mich kannte, zweitens ging es nach dem Spiel plötzlich alles sehr schnell und alle Jungs waren verschwunden. Diesen Mittwoch dann hatte ich die Leitung der Kleingruppe / Gottesdienst. Die Kleingruppe hier ist ein mix zwischen einem kleinen Gottesdienst und einem Bibelstudium. Auch dies war neu für mich, aber ich denke es ging gut und die Leute die am Abend teil nahmen mochten es. Nebst diesen zwei Anlässen ist nicht mehr viel gelaufen diese letzte Woche. Jedoch ist dieser Samstag der Tag der Kinder. Dort werde ich wieder mit helfen und so wie es aussieht bei einem Theater teil nehmen. Mal sehen wie das heraus kommt. Am Samstag morgen haben wir jedoch noch zuerst Fussballschule. Dies wird mein erstes mal sein, wo ich alle Kid's treffen werde und offiziell ihnen vorgestellt werde.

In the last few days there were again some things that I could do. So last Saturday I could be part of a soccer game between the kids from town and those from the interior. But because Pastor Valter injured himself on an accident on the way to the game Paster Simon had to drive him to the doctor. So they gave me the whole responsibility. I had to lead the whole game (my first game here at all) all by my self. It went quite good. The game went well but just the devotion after wards didn't go or didn't happen at all. That because everything was knew to me and nobody knew me and secondly because all the kids from the interior left right after the game. So this last Wednesday I had to lead small group / church service. The small group here is a mix between a small church service and a bible study lesson. That also was knew to me, because I never led something like that before. But I think it went well and those who were there quite liked it. Beside this two events not a lot happened last week. This upcoming Saturday will be the day of the children. We have planned an event for the kids from around here and I was asked to be part of the drama team. We will see how that's gone go. But first we will have on Saturday morning our soccer school. This will be my first time attending it and also the first time I'll be introduced officially to the kids.

Lern Phase / Learning phase

So jetzt ist die erste Woche hier in Barão schon vorbei. Es war sicher eine interessante Woche, in der es einiges zu lernen gab. Es war eine volle Woche mit vielen Aktivitäten. Hier in Barão haben wir zwei Kleingruppen, die eine wird von Reifler's geleitet und die andere von Pastor Valter. So hatten wir am Mittwochabend Kleingruppe und am Donnerstag gingen wir in das Inland. Da ich im Januar schon hier war für einen Missionseinsatz mit der Bibelschule, kannte ich schon einige Leute. Am Samstag war Jugendgruppe geplant gewesen, jedoch sind wegen den bevor stehenden Wahlen keine Jugendliche aufgetaucht, weil sie bei den Parteifesten teilnahmen. Somit hatten wir einen freien Samstagabend, bei dem wir dann den Film „Courageous“ schauten. Am Sonntag hatten wir dann am Abend hier in Barão Gottesdienst. Da Pastor Valter auch die Gitarre spielt und für diese Wochenende verreist ist, wurde ich spontan angefragt. Ich habe zuvor noch nie so öffentlich gespielt. Es war sicher ein grosser Schritt für mich. Ja es ist dann auch nicht so gut herausgekommen. Aber das spielt keine grosse Rolle, denn wie schon am Samstag ist auch am Sonntag wegen den Wahlen niemand aufgetaucht :( . Durch die ganze Woche haben Simon und ich an unserem Schreiner Projekt gearbeitet. Wir versuchen ein Schaft zu bauen. Ich werde dann, sobald wir fertig sind ein Foto posten und berichten wie es gelaufen ist.

It's been already a week since I'm in Barão. It was an interesting week, in which there was a lot to learn. It was a busy week with a lot of activities. We have two small groups here, one is lead by the missionary Simon Reifler and the other by the local Pastor, Pastor Valter. So on Wednesday we had small group and then on Thursday we went to the interior of Barão. Because I already was here in January with CLBI I already knew some people. On Saturday it was planned to have youth group but because the elections are in a week and the political parties are having events all the youth went there and we didn't have anybody attending our youth group. So we decided to watch the movie “Courageous”. On Sunday evening we had church here in Barão. Because Pastor Valter, also our guitarist was traveling, they asked me Sunday afternoon if I could play for church. I never played guitar in such a public setting. So it was a big stretch for me to do that and how I thought it would go, it didn't go that well but that's ok. Because of the election just the missionaries and four co-workers were there. Through out the whole week Simon and I worked on our project to built a wardrobe. As soon as we are done with it I hope to be able to upload a picture.
