Spring Tour

So ich bin wieder zurück von einer sehr intensiver Spring Tour. Wir hatten sehr viel spass jedoch war es auch sehr streng. Doch lass mich am Anfang anfangen. Wie im letzten Blog erwähnt, war ich der Haupt Techniker. Die Schule hat mich mit ihrem digitalen Mischpult vertraut gemacht und mir sehr viel anvertraut. Meine Hauptaufgabe und Verantwortung war es alles aufzustellen, verkabeln und am Schluss noch mit den Bands eine Sound Check zu machen und natürlich dann durch die Show den Sound zu mischen. An einigen Tagen war dies ein sehr grosser Stress, da die Show um 19:00 Uhr anfing und wir manchmal nach 15:00 Uhr ankamen. Zu dem kam noch dazu, dass ich am Donnerstag bevor wir abreisten noch krank wurde. Unser erster Auftritt in Edmonton konnte ich nur durchführen weil ich Tabletten geschluckt habe. Mit der Zeit fühlte ich mich auch besser, wurde jedoch durch die ganze Tour nie wirklich gesund. Ich fühlte mich einiges besser, jedoch hatte ich immer noch ein straken Husten und Schnupfen.

Es war sehr interessant die Reaktionen zu der Präsentation in den verschiedenen Gemeinden zu sehen. Wir hatten sehr gute Feedbacks. Unser letzter Auftritt war unser Heimkonzert. Erwartet wurden ca. 500 Besucher. Wir erreichten diese Nummer fast. Es war der beste Auftritt den wir je hatten und viel Menschen wurden berührt durch die Botschaft und sie merkten dass sich etwas verändern muss in ihren Leben. Wir sind ca. 3'400km in 10 Tagen gefahren. Es war eine sehr schöne fahrt durch British Columbia und durch die Rocky Mountains. Wir fuhren in einem Reisebus und einem Kleinbus. Wir hatten sehr viel spass auf unser Reise. Wenn ich jetzt im nach hinein zurück schau, dann denke ich dass es eine gesegnete Zeit war die wir mit einander verbringen konnten und eine Zeit in der wir viel Menschen segnen konnten. Das einzige, dass mich ein wenig gestört hat, war dass unsere Show ca. 2 1/2h lang war. Es ist zu lange und viele Eltern mussten unsere Show halbwegs wegen den Kinder verlassen, was sehr schade war.

Jetzt bin ich wieder zurück in Camrose in meinem Alltag. Die letzten drei Wochen hier an der Schule wird sehr stressig sein, da wir noch einiges bevor uns haben. Über das Osterwochenende will ich mein Flugticket in Calgary für in die Schweiz buchen. Dies werde ich am Karfreitag erledigen, danach werde ich zu Freunden fahren und dort Ostern verbringen. Im ganzen werde ich an diesem Wochenende über 1'000km fahren. Das Wochenende nach den Ostern haben wir ein grosser Jugendevent. Für das Öffnungskonzert haben wir eine Band von Edmonton eigeladen. Ich wurde angefragt, ob ich wieder das Technische übernehmen könnte. Es ist mir eine sehr grosse Ehre solch eine Arbeit zu absolvieren und für eine Band das Sound zu mischen. Nach diesem Konzern wird es weiter gehen mit vielen Jugendaktivitäten. Das Wochenende nach diesem, werden wir als Schule einen Schulausflug haben und so uns von einander zu verabschieden. Und dann haben wir schon unser letztes Wochenende, welches mit unser Schulabschluss verbunden ist. So wie du siehst, haben wir kein Wochenende frei. Einerseits freue ich mich sehr auf den Sommer und das die Zeit hier vorbei ist, anderseits werde ich diesen Ort sehr vermissen. Ich lernte so viel und bin Geistlich sehr gewachsen.

Wie auch immer, ich werde diese Schule und die neuen Freunde die ich hier gemacht habe nie vergessen und hoffe fest, dass ich mit ihnen in Kontakt bleiben werde.

Mein Sommer ist schon komplett ausgebucht. Meine Eltern kommen nach Kanada und bleiben bis Mitte Mai und dann kann ich auf einem Bible Camp drei Wochen helfen. Danach kommt mein Cousin für ca. drei Wochen und anschliessend kommt mein Bruder Micha nach Kanada. Das bring mich zu ende Juli. Ich hoffe, dass ich so um den 25. Juli in die Schweiz abfliegen kann. Ich würde so um den 29. August wieder nach Kanada abfliegen. Ich werde dann eine Woche hier verbringen und dann schon wieder abfliegen um nach Brasilien zu reisen.

So ich denke das wäre wieder mal alles gewesen und ich denke das du jetzt wieder auf dem laufenden bist. Danke viel mals für deine Unterstützung im Gebet, es beutet mir sehr viel.

So I'm back from a very intensive spring tour. We had lots of fun but it also was lots of work. But let me start at the beginning. How I mentioned in my last blog, I was the main tech guy for the tour. The school taught me how to use their digital mixer and they put lots of trust in me. My main job and responsibility was to make set up the sound equipment and to make sound checks with the bands and obviously to mix the sound for the show. On some day this was really stressful. Our shows started at 7pm and sometimes we got at the church by or after 3pm. Beside that I also got sick on Thursday, the day before we left for spring tour. So the first presentation in Edmonton I just could do it because I had some pills. Through out the tour I got better, but I never felt like I was feeling 100% well again.

It was interesting to observe the reactions during the show of the people in the different churches. We had very good feedbacks to what we did. Our last concert was our “home concert”. We expected around 500 people and we nearly reached this amount of visitors. It was the best presentation we had for our whole trip. A lot of people were toughed by the message and they noticed that some has to be changed in their lives as well. Our whole trip was around 3'400km long and we did that in 10 days. It was a beautiful drive through B.C. and through the Rocky Mountains. We had a 56 passenger bus and a 15 passenger van on our tour. We had lots of fun on our trip, in the bus/van. If I look back to our time touring Alberta and B.C. I would say that it was a blessed time that we had and that a lot of people were blessed through our presentation. The only thing that bothered me a bit was that the whole presentation was a bit over 2.5h, which was way to long. A lot of parents had to leave earlier with their kids, because of that.

Now I'm back in Camrose and back to my daily routine. The last three weeks here at school be will really busy, because we have lots to come. For this up coming weekend, the easter weekend I'm going down to Calgary to buy my ticket to Switzerland. After that I will spend the rest of the easter weekend with friends in Saskatchewan. Over the whole weekend I will be traveling over 1'000km. The weekend right after easter the school is hosting a youth event. So that will be a busy weekend again. For the opening concert of that weekend we will have the junkyard poets from Edmonton. I was asked to do the sound for that evening again. Which is a big honer to me. After the concert it will go on with lots of activities. The weekend after that is the weekend that we as a school will have our year-end hike. So, you see that there is no weekend left just for free time. On one side I'm really happy to be done with school and to go into this upcoming summer time, but on the other side I will miss this place a lot. I had such a blessed time here and I grew spiritually so much through out the last two years.

How ever I will never forget this school and all the new friends I made here and I really hope that I will stay in tough with the people here.

My summer is also already booked out. First my parents will come to Canada after they leave again I will help out on a Bible Camp for a few weeks and then one of my cousins will come to visit me. After he goes back to Switzerland my brother will arrive and I can spend ca. 3 weeks with him. After the time together here he will fly back and I will join him to go for one month to Switzerland. Around the 29^th of August I will return to Canada to pack my stuff and to leave in the first few days of September for Brazil.
