Und schon bin ich fünf Tage hier in Brasilien. Die Temperatur sind sehr hoch und ich bin beinah am
verschmitzten. Wir sind ja am Mittwoch um ca. 1 Uhr auf der Ranch angekommen und somit hatten wir dann diesen Tag mal frei und durften uns einwenig akklimatisierten und uns mit der Umgebung vertraut machen. Doch am Donnerstag ging es dann schon los mit Vorbereitungen für ein Kongress, der sich hier auf der Rancho da Lua stat gefunden hat. Dies bedeutete, dass wir sämtliche sachen reinigen mussten und es bereit stellen für die ca. 100 Leute die kommen werden. Am Freitag war es dann so weit und die Menschenmenge kam auf der Ranch an. Eine meiner Hauptaufgaben für den Freitag war, die Leute von der Bushaltestelle abzuholen und sie runter in die Ranch zu fahren. Danach musste ich einfach immer Hilfsbereit sein um diverse Sachen zu erledigen. Der Morgen fing schon um 6.30 an und der Tag endete dann so um ca. 22:30. Ja jetzt bin ich schon erschöpft und freue mich auf einen freien Tag. Schon bald wird eine Gruppe aus der Schweiz ankommen, die mit uns durch den Sertão wandern werden. Bis nach dieser Exkursion werde ich noch hier bei meinen Eltern sein. Danach werde ich mich auf den Weg zu Simon und Rahel Reifler machen.

Well it's been nearly a week since we left Canada and already 5 days since we are here in Brazil. The temperature are very high and I'm melting over here. We arrived last Wednesday around 1am here at the Ranch and because of a long flight and a early arrival we had that Wednesday off. We could get starting used to the temperature and get to know the town a bit. But Thursday we already had to get started with prep work for a conference that was held here at the ranch. So we had to clean a bunch of stuff and get ready to welcome ca. 100 people here at the ranch. On Friday the people started to come. One of my main duty was to pick up the people at the busstation and drive them down to the Ranch. After that I had to be ready for any kind of task they wanted me to do. The mornings started at 6:30am and the day ended at ca. 10:30pm. Now I'm exhausted and tired. I'm happy that we have Monday off and can relax a bit. Pretty soon a groupe from Switzerland is arriving to join us on our trip through the desert of the northeast of Brazil. Till after that trip I'll be staying here with my parents and after that I'll be moving down to meet with Simon and Rahel Reifler (he will be my supervisor).
